Dave Thomas writes in: "Pontiac power was very unusual at this time. The original owner was Danny (?). The car was newin 1966 at Trenton, NJ and Mario Andretti (then 16 years old) "begged" to drive the car, and Danny told him to come back when he had a little more experience! (Ha Ha!) Also... This is the car that Bentley Warren got in trouble with U.S.A.C. with when he drove under a different name. The throttle stuck in the car. It was an truly awful accident where Bentley ended up breaking both his legs, Amos Bird was seriously injured, and police officer Dick Preston lost both of his legs. I (Dave Thomas) was inside of Bentley on the restart when it happened."

Picture File star050-t.jpg 1973 at the Star. Cockpit shot. I don't know who was driving but I seem to remember that this car was a visitor down from Oswego. Jim Liccardi writes in: "This is a 1970 sohot of the super of Lou Dabrowski. The roll cage might look familar, it was from Todd Gibson's first yellow Flintstone Flyer #0 circa-1965." Lee Booze writes in "I believe the #7 is the Dowker Roadster with Johnny Logan at the wheel. 1973 would have been after Nolan Johncock was killed at Sandusky in the Dowker car. Logan drove for Dowker while not at Oswego in other cars #35 I think. I recognize the wing right away..."
Picture File star057-t.jpg Johnny Logan in the #7 Dowker roadster, 1973 at the Star.
Pat York writes "Johnny Logan drove it up til almost mid-73,then got out of it(fired?).I was at South Bend and have photos of it winning the mid-season championship with Marv at the wheel.Nolan J. didnt drive this car,as he died at Sandusky I believe the previous year in their old car.The old car was repaired I believe,as I have seen photos of Johnny in it at Sandusky later.I believe the old car was a former Watson roadster that ended up in Melborne ,Fla. at Jim Rathmans place. This is according to Frankie Bellairs. Johnny Logan then went on to drive the Keenan-Addy #35 after that.".
